With 7 new cases, Nepal’s infection number reaches 109

Kathmandu. COVID-19 infection has been found in seven more people in the country on Saturday, taking the number of infected people to 109 so far, the Ministry of Health and Population said.

Three new cases of COVID-19 infection were found at Bhulke of Udayapur, three in Kapilbastu and one at Chhapkaiya of Parsa district, the Ministry stated in a press release.

It said the new cases were confirmed through the tests carried out at the National Health Laboratory, Kathmandu and at the Koshi Hospital, Biratnagar laboratory.

According to the Ministry, coronavirus infection has been found in three women of Bhulke, Udayapur who are 18, 45 and 65 years old; in three men of Kapilbastu who are 17 and 18 years respectively and in a 62-year-old man of Chhapkaiya, Parsa.

It is said the health condition of all the infected persons is normal and they were kept under the observation of the health workers.
